What Is an ICS File?
ICS is the file format behind “Add to calendar” buttons and calendar invitations. A single .ics file describes an event: its title, start and end, location, description, reminder and repeat rule. Because it follows the open iCalendar standard, the same file works in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook and most other calendar apps.
This generator builds the file for you, so you can share an event by email, attach it to a booking confirmation or put it on a website without writing the format by hand.

ICS Generator FAQ
What is an ICS file?
An ICS file (.ics) is a standard iCalendar file that stores calendar events: title, date and time, location, description and reminders. Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook and most other calendar apps can open it.
How do I create an ICS file?
Fill in the event details above and click “Download .ics file”. The file is created instantly in your browser and you can import it into any calendar app.
Is this ICS generator free? Do you store my data?
It is free, with no sign-up. The file is generated in your browser and nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.
Can I create recurring events?
Yes. Choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly and the number of occurrences, and the .ics file will contain the repeat rule.
Why does my event show the wrong time?
Check the time zone selected in the generator. One-off events are saved in UTC, so your calendar app converts them to your local time automatically; recurring events keep the time zone you selected.
Can I generate .ics files automatically inside my own app?
Yes. Our Ez ICS File Generator plugin lets you create and download .ics files with custom event details directly from a Bubble application.
